Mr. Mamun is responsible for overseeing the planning, development and implementation of ICT related projects of the government. The projects include start-ups, innovation, connectivity etc. Government is implementing “Vision 2021” to make Bangladesh a middle-income country by the year 2021. Digitization on different fields is one of the main focus to achieve the goal. ICT Division is the principal institution to materialize this vision.

Mr. Mamun is supervising the Government’s process of implementation to create a startup echo system and entrepreneurship culture in Bangladesh through various projects. Government has already funded and is assisting co-working space and mentoring to the emerging startups.

He obtained his Master of Commerce in Management from University of Dhaka and Master of Arts in Government Finance from University of Ulster, UK. He has completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Public Policy from ISS, the Netherlands. He has gathered experience of working in Ministry of Finance specially application and inclusion of ICT in in framing of Rules, Regulations and Acts relating to Banking as well as Insurance. Moreover, he dealt with criminal cases relating to fraud, forgery, money laundering, negotiable instruments etc. by using technology.
