Irene is a Senior Development Engineer at German Orbital Systems. Currently she works as a Project Manager for the DCSM (Deployment Control and Separation Sequence Management)-Unit, a separation system for small satellites. As Project Lead she is responsible for GROOVE, a CubeSat (miniaturized satellite), which is designed for easy, standardized, and fast on-orbit verification of hardware in space ( She has a scientific background in the field of GaN-Electronics working at Ferdinand-Braun-Institut für Höchstfrequenztechnik. Irene holds a Dipl.-Ing. degree in Electrotechnical Engineering from the TU-Berlin.
