Dr. Thomas Blanchet holds degrees in sociology (M.Sc, University of Nantes 2007) and management (PhD 2013, Freie Universität Berlin). He joined Nexus Institute in 2015 where he works on several projects focusing on citizen participation, urban governance and critical infrastructures. In 2016 and 2017, he worked on the project PIAZZA – the smart city co-creation platform financed by the European Institute of Innovation & Technology. Before joining nexus, he worked in several research projects focusing on the governance of urban infrastructures within various scientific institutions in France and Germany (Helmholtz Center for Environmental Research (UfZ) Leipzig, Marc Bloch Center in Berlin, Social Science Research Center in Berlin (WZB), Ecole des Ponts ParisTech (LATTS – ENPC).
