Waltraut is founder of Knowledge Dialogues, specializing in research relating to knowledge and data economy across the Asia-Pacific region and Europe. She works on innovation projects at the intersection between universities, government, business and civil society, such as participatory Smart City strategies and open data. She regularly contributes as knowledge economy expert to UNESCAP, UNESCO, and OECD. Ritter has been serving on the Digital21 Strategy Advisory Committee of the Hong Kong SAR government since 2010, and is also VP of the ICT committee of the European Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong and Macau.
