Program Embassy Day Asia-Pacific 2014 (PDF)
The Embassy Day Asia-Pacific in Berlin offers a unique opportunity for personal and intensive networking with the various Asian embassies, economic development corporations, chambers of commerce and with delegations.
Diplomatic missions from the Asia-Pacific region host symposia, workshops and panel discussions - on one day under one roof. As an annual economic conference in the framework of the Asia-Pacific Weeks Berlin (APW) and in the years in between, the Embassy Day provides the continuity between the APW. It strengthens networks and project partnerships, the relations to the business community and to the embassies, given the regular turnover of staff in the diplomatic service.
The thematic focus of the APW, smart cities, is also highlighted during the Embassy Day. Sustainable urban development and technologies for the challenges of the Asian megacities are presented and discussed by experts. Rapid population growth, resource scarcity, social differences and climate change are only a few aspects that require intelligent solutions in the organization and infrastructure of cities.
The following embassies and representations will participate in the Embassy Day 2014:
Embassy of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh
Embassy of the People’s Republic of China
Embassy of the Republic of India
Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia
Embassy of the Republic of Korea
