Asia-Pacific Weeks 1999
With the second Asia-Pacific Weeks (APW), which took place from 27 September to 10 October 1999, the APW chose its first country focus:Japan. At the same time, the events were clustered into a two-week period.
In 1999, around 150,000 spectators visited more than 110 APW cultural events. Roughly 3.500 people took part in the 38 seminars on business and investment. Another 500,00 visitors enjoyed the 10-day open-air event “Market of Asian-Pacific Cultures”.
The APW had around 100 different organizers, including business associations, state and federal ministries, universities, companies, cultural associations, galleries, institutions for developmental cooperation, other educational institutions, and service providers.
